Best 3rd Gen YouTube Video

Let's see if I can do this without it going straight to the dumbgeon...
So, lots of threads lately on YouTube videos right?
Let's start with fact:
The only reason people create these type of videos is to make money. Everyone agree? The more subscribers they have, the more ad money is generated right?
With that said, these guys are going to create content that will make people look and subscribe. If they thought talking about grandmothers who change Tacoma tire size... And it would get a million views, that would be a topic.
Now, some of you learn from watching these videos and that's good. But, that's not really important and does not get many subscribers. What does get subscribers is entertainment! Yeah!
So, with that said, which YouTube Tacoma personality is best? Which one has the most subscribers? Why?
Does sex still sell? Is there a beautiful lady in a bikini drinking beer talking about Tacomas on YouTube?
I'm curious and you guys know more than me about this world.

 

Maybe I'm breaking the rules but I don't care. This honey on Ttunes with a wrench does it for me. Only installing a bass box but who cares. I would post all the car car nuts videos especially the one I just watched and might still but this one well....

I don't watch anyone specifically, I will search out content that I am researching, like when I converted to LED headlamp assemblies or researched the VLED tail light conversion.

Scotty. Most knowledgeable mechanic on YouTube. Maybe even the internet. His Tacoma review was especially good.

 

The only YouTube video I willingly watch is Kung Fury. I don't do reviews, unboxing, this versus that, or other twaddle. It's just not my thing.

I much prefer written how-to's over video. If it's only available over video, then I'll only watch it after I failed to the point that my house is on fire or somebody is bleeding profusely.

 

lol Kung Fury was amazing. Epic Rap Battles of History has some good stuff as well. Sorry for taking this further off topic and into the dumbgeon... Tacomas are awesome and I would greatly enjoy videos featuring tacos and boobs. Throw in some guns and bikes for bonus points.

I don’t watch a ton of YouTube stuff but I watch almost all of Mike’s videos from Last Line of Defense. Sure he’s into the Instagram fad stuff but I actually met him in person last year at an outdoor show and he’s an incredibly down to earth guy. He chatted with me for like 30 min about all kinds of random stuff and was just a genuinely nice dude.

He also recently has been doing a series about building a new home from the ground up which has been really interesting and I’ve learned a lot from those videos. He does a lot of product reviews too which can be helpful for some people.

He also has a holster company that I think predates his YouTube stuff and he makes some quality gun gear if you’re into that kind of thing.

Mike seems very down to earth. However, he needs someone selling car vacuums to sponsor his channel.

 

tinkers adventure seems to be the only in depth videos that arent made for clicks and views. all the youtube tacoma personalities skim the surface of any install leading to terrible and tacky modifications done improperly. jesse rizo and tacomabeast are by far the worst

 

How is Petr doing anything other than helping people like us?

• He doesn’t use sex to get you to click.
• He’s not entertaining us unless you call learning entertaining.
• He doesn’t click bait you.
• Although Petr seems to be a very nice gentleman I wouldn’t call him an entertainer.
• He’s not a personality.
• I, and many also I presume, believe he is knowledgeable, helpful and performing a great service to many.

He also has 153,000 subscribers. Pretty damn good for somebody who is doing NOTHING you are suggesting. Is it jealousy or just unaware?

I'm not surprised you replied on here...lol!

I can't remember where you posted but I definitely got the impression you do not appreciate YouTube (YT). (I say that with humor)

There is a lot of creativity out there...some of it good...some of it, not so much.

As in life, I take everything with a grain of salt.

With that in mind, TW members posting YT videos on "how to" and "what mods have you done?" is something certain types of people have no interest in.

I do appreciate your humor and input on ALL threads...I'm just having a good laugh that you explain YT videos with so much disdain. lol

However, 150K is not much I think, especially when Tacomas sell that many every six months. I appreciate the how to and learning sites, but those are not the 5M subscribers right?

Oh, I didn’t know we were talking about 5M+ subscribers. That’s a whole different ballgame. That is a very small segment of YouTube. Probably well south of 0.01%.
