I have a 2023 TRD sport Tacoma and I’ve been wanting to lift it. With a brand new Tacoma I have a 3 year warranty and I want to keep it and not void my warranty. So I’m thinking on lifting it 3” or 4” before I eventually go to 6” (after my warranty).

Can anyone recommend me some suspension lift kits that will cost me around $1,000?

Or send me some links on different threads on the same topic?

    I appreciate any feedback!

    Thanks!

Bilstein 6112 set at whatever notch for a 2" lift then add a .5" top plate. That will net you 3" up front.

Run spacers up front and a block in the rear. No sense spending the money in a quality 3" lift if you're just gonna be going 6" down the road. Or just leave it stock and save for 3 years. If you don't care about the above, you can get 5100's front and rear with 885 or 887 coils and an add a leaf for right around your $1000 budget.

Your going to have other issues once you go over 2.5 inches of lift on a Tacoma.

best, $1,000, and 3-4", and possibly not causing warranty issues, do not all go together.
Do some reading, many stay 2" and less, to keep massive costs, and work down.
Also list your purpose of the lift.

I reside on the Big Island of Hawai'i, where the landscape is dominated by lava rocks. In order to access certain fishing spots, I need to lift my Tacoma and put some beefy tires on it.

Do no more than a 2 inch lift and put taller tires on.

Id have to agree with the above having just put a 3.5" on my 2020 DCLB. Lifts can be nice depending on what you need, but they definitely don't fix rubbing issues (or at least not all of them) that come with larger tires.

The main thing here is getting a decent 3.5" or 4" lift for $1000. Having priced out what functionality i wanted, then diving into price ranges from a simple block lift to the AllDogs full coil setup and HD leafs I have now, getting anything decent that you will even be remotely happy with for $1000 or under is (or at least it was for me) virtually impossible.

I would also agree with the above notion of just keeping things OEM for now if you are heading for all the work of a 6" lift, but if you cant wait, getting some replacement Bilsteins and some cheap coils/leafs are about the only way you could stay even remotely near your budget.

Being new to lifts I put 1.5" blocks and 2.5" spacers on my fish finder.
Main reason was to keep it inexpensive to see what height it would give before spending the money on new suspension.
Mostly a daily driver it works for now.

There's decent OME kits for around a grand.
I should also mention watch for used, open box and sale items. It doesn't bother me if a block, I'm temporarily using, has a scratch on it. open box kept it easy on the pocket book.

If you don't raise the axle line the actual ground clearance doesn't change. No suspension lift does that.

It does change approach / departure angles, which can help.

Tires are the only thing that raise the axle line.

You don't need wide tires for lava, so a 255 80 17 on your stock wheels will get you a full 33" tire, E rated (good for rocks) with no lift, rub, cut or warranty impact.

If your serious. Then run the warranty dry. Add the mods then. I would suggest 5100's in front (set to the second clip) and then put 1" block in the leaf springs (rear axle)

Why I said larger diameter tires.
I run 255/80/17 tires on my truck to get real life clearance with a 2 inch lift and never had and vibration problems.

For me, approach/departure angles are definitely why I chose a lift and 285/75/17s, as Tacos have the same issues as all pickups, especially w/departure.

You can install beefy tires without lifting your Tacoma.
