Hey everyone, I have a 2017 Taco with some lift blocks and an add a leaf. I am looking to upgrade the suspension this summer. I know I need front coilovers, UCA's, leafs, and rear struts. If I need anything else, please let me know. I want the best suspension kit I can get in the price range of $2000-3500 that will give me about a 3" lift. I have an overland setup with a RTT on a rack. I do some crawling and high speed offroading, but mostly overlanding.

No bumpers on the truck right now, just the RTT and rack.

Let me know what you think! :)

I read the words high speed in there…

Look into 2.5” remote resi front coilovers…foxes, kings, ADS, etc etc (bonus points get them from Accutune or another shop to get some custom tuning done. Thank me later when you’re blasting washboards at 40+mph and all the other poors are going 20mph worried about their teeth rattling out of their skulls.

I checked out accutune and found a king kit that looks really nice. It’s out of budget a bit, but I feel the jump is worth it. I definitely want something that can soak up some high speed stuff.

Definitely have considered the Bilstein 6112s and 5160s, but I’m not sure they are as beefy as I want. How much better would kings be? Is it worth the spend?

I’d recommend giving @AccuTune Offroad a call or DM. They offer great customer service and will help pick a kit out for what you want/need and valve them as well.

I have the Ironman Foam Cell Pros with SPC uppers and am happy with my set up. Only extra weight I have is on me, sliders and a front skid. Take a look at the kit, maybe you’ll like what you see/read. Lots of info here plus links to other threads. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ironman-4x4-suspension-mega-thread.739269/

I’d still suggest reaching out to @AccuTune Offroad either way!

You can cut some costs by getting 2.0 rear shocks w/remote resi & tune to start out with. You can also try to search around for a cheaper u bolt-flip/bumpstop kit. I think those cost savings could put you a lot closer to your budget while still maintaining amazing off road performance. You can always upgrade to 2.5 rears down the road (exactly what I did). Saves close to $600 up front.

note that this is just to try to save on cost. I wouldnt change a damn thing about accutune kits otherwise.

King doesn't have 2.0 shocks, so that would need to be a Fox kit. We have some things we can change around to save some costs. Different UCA's can also help save some cost. Feel free to shoot us a DM or give us a call!

@mudify bringing this thread back from the dead lol. Judging by his avatar and mods OP has already obtained his desired suspension.
