    Hey guys,

New here! I am looking for the best repair manual for all around maintenance, on-trail fixes, etc. Pictures are definitely a plus! Pretty much a Tacomas for Dummies book.

    Anyone have any recommendations?!
    Thanks!

Only the maglight mod, mounted on floor drivers side, billet antenna and have lined all storage under rear seats with rubber to keep the rattling to a minimum.
If you want an all around maintenance book get a Haynes manual. The factory manual is super vague and doesn't tell you much other than general maintenance. The Haynes manual tells you everything about everything.

How can you say the Factory Service Manual is vague ??

I think just the diagnostics section is great so just what are you calling vague ??

I replaced my water pump using a Haynes manual, so between the directions and pictures (especially the belt routing diagram) it made it easy for a first timer.

The Haynes manual for the 2nd Gen is useful. The '05 - '06 factory service manual can be downloaded from the URL at the bottom of this post. When you first access the site, you will see the TTORA symbol at the top of the screen with a white background. Wait for the screen to fill in. Afterwards, you'll be able to scroll down to the model/yr you want. Scroll thru the list.

In most cases there is an online version and a downloadable version. The online version in many cases do not work. The downloadable versions that I've accessed work. Bring it down to your PC/laptop and extract it out when done.

Awesome! Thanks bro. It'll be nice to have a digital version for the iPad.
