I am looking to get new tires, but want to stick with stock tire size as I have no other mods done to the truck. What are the best all-terrain in that size for the tacomas? Any experience or pictures? Thanks!

I was going to get 245/75r16 toyo open country at3 for my sr but the salesman at discount tire said 265/70r16 toyo open country at3 was the same price and is not even 1/2 inch bigger. Also it’s the trd off road size.

Any pictures? That might be the way to go. Do you know how much heavier they are?

Those look really nice. Is the road noise reasonable?

Any pictures by chance? Also, same question for these. How is the road noise?

The noise is very minimal. I plan on going camping and to the mountain but not off roading so it’s perfect for me.

I have these installed a year ago, about 12k on them and they are not noisy at this time.
The wind noise dominates on freeways.
The reason I went with this size is due to the weight compare to next sizes. They look better on stock suspension (size wise).

Ive got Firestone Destination AT2s on my 2017 SR5. I really like them. Really good in snow, sand, mud and not too loud on the highway

I've heard everything good about the destination at2's. Once these goodyear adventure w/kevlar AT's wear out on my tacoma i'm going to try the firestones. Btw..these 265/70 16 goodyear AT's aren't terrible either.

Did you upgrade on a stock truck, or are you lifted at all?

I don’t hate the stock Goodyear Adventure Kevlar AT’s on my 2021. I drove them cross country without issue or noise, drove some dirt roads no problem, and they seemed capable in the snow the other night even without being severe snow rated. I’m looking to upsize to a 265/75R16, mainly for looks but I want the severe snow rating, or I’d just keep them. The Destination AT2 are the lightest tire available in 265/75R16 at 37 pounds.

Fellow SR5 guy here, you should be able to go to 265/75/r16 no problem. I put that size on my truck with the stock steel rims and no lift, and they only rubbed the front mud flaps a little bit. If you have flaps, worst case scenario is you'd have to let them rub there (only in reverse at full lock for me), remove them, or buy lower profile flaps which there are a few options for. I went with rekgen flaps.
