What's the best 2" shackle hitch kit? Preferably one that uses a Crosby shackle. Thanks.

Can a moderator move this to the Recovery sub-forum? Thanks.

This is so useless! All you need is the tow strap and the hitch pin. Saves weight AND money!

    I hope you're joking!

Safety is paramount in recovery. A kg or so for a proper hitch shackle is nothing compared to the weight of the vehicle.

I just bought the Factor 55 Hitchlink Pro 2.0… seems to be the best out there. It can be used with soft/steel shackles and is cross drilled for angled pulls as well.

I have the Agency6 in my Amazon cart. Might become a stocking stuffer.

Also good luck with the nylon strap and hitch pin method, that SOB is not coming out unless you cut the pin off after a good pull.

    Brand new.
Highway robbery, Walmart compensating for all the lost sales and the people who don't read the price.

More likely the same reason that same thing used to happen on Amazon & Ebay years ago... they had a metric that punished sellers for being out of stock on too many items. So instead of admitting to being out of stock, sellers would just raise the price to the moon. Cuz eff it, in the event some idiot does click the buy button, for 50x going price I'll shat one out if that's what it takes.

HIGHLY recommend the Factor 55 stuff now that Ive put hands on it. I decided to get two Crosby steel shackles, 2 extreme duty soft shackles, locking hitch pins, strap wraps and the Hitchlink Pro 2.0. They even included the third party test results with each piece (Hitchlink Pro over 50,000 lbs). Also the locking stainless hitch pins are the best design Ive seen (threaded, o-ring sealed and dust cap). Not cheap but definitely a “buy one, cry once” product. Only problem is they look so nice I don’t want to use them right away… just stare at them and appreciate the craftsmanship :D

I bought a D-ring and welded up one. The pic below was before I bought a hitch pin for it.
