These bleacher seats were on sale at Costco, so I bought two and tossed some boards together to sit on them in the bed. The kids like it, and I think it’ll be nice for backing up to a creek or vista spot.

Looks like a great opportunity for a “hold my beer and watch this” moment...

Pretty neat. I don't see what's to keep them from tipping back and breaking your glass. Too late for 4th of July parade watching anyway so you've got time to work on it.

Now if you can only make a projection screen pop out of the tailgate, Movie night under the stars.

Back when I was in TAMUK and I lived in the small ass dorms my buddy and would throw some lawn chairs in the back of my f250, take a cooler, and just chill up there drinking all night. Im sure fishing or chilling on there when camping wouldn't be bad at all.

I have lots of great ideas.. launch a kite surfer, trolling on a river levy, pulling a snow border with a rope (observation chairs and to hold “safety” flag). BTW, for all those reading - really bad ideas, just a joke.

An angled 2x4 bolted in between the chairs near where they hinge that extends back would solve that problem.

There’s a hook on each seat that flips down to anchor to an actual aluminum or wood bleacher, and that prevents them from lifting up in this application.

A bit more wood and you could just make the whole thing out of wood and forgo buying the seats too.

Me like OP, great job!!! (You should add another 2x4 in the middle as a "leg/reinforcement" to hold the bench when two people are seating. This will prevent from splitting on the middle)
