    Hello all,

I have a '17 TRD OR and am in need of some flashing amber LED's for my truck. I prefer to have them located in the grill and under the tail gate if that makes sense. I have been looking for a few days now and i haven't been able to find what I am looking for. Anyone have an idea on where to look?

The attached youtube video is generally what I am looking for in the grill.

I'm not exactly sure what setup this is but I'd look into strobing rock light kits for UTV's. Vision X has a decent kit I believe it's called the Tantrum. Hope this helps.

I use to install safety lights/beacons/strobes at my previous job. The brightest strobe in the smallest package I found was made by ECCO. it is called the “hide-a-led” W600. Expensive, but they are no joke.

I just got done doing something similar for volunteer EMS/Fire. Once I looked at how much 8 LEDS modules (4 front, 4 rear) it was looking like $400 plus mounting brackets and flasher modules. Unless you go for cheap Chinese LEDs modules from Alibaba/Ebay/Wish/geek.com.

Instead I went with the tailgator, and a dual purpose Flood LED light bar/warning light. Cost wise it was about $100 cheaper, good quality, and it has a warranty with a reputable company. The two challenges I have with the front light is that there is no strobe function built into the unit (the tailgator does), and the off angle warning power is pretty poor.

does the tailgator block the hole to lower the spare?

There are clips that screw into the truck that holds the tailgator in place. To get the spare out you pop the light out of the clips so you can lower the spare. I was suspect of it initially, but I just finished 120 miles of washboards and the tailgator stayed put without a problem. For comparison my light bar had 2 of 4 screws back out, so I am going to lock-tight those this week. They have a great video if you're interested. https://youtu.be/V39Tyrq2P7Y The only gripe I have had thus far is the backup light is super bright, but the bumper throws a significant shadow for my backup camera.
