This is my first truck. I have 2016 TRD sport. Everything stock. Just looking for some cool spots to take my family out for weekend adventuring. I'm near hacienda heights. Last weekend I tried azusa OVH, but it was closed for construction. So that was a miss. Wondering if you guys know any other places in the area. Thanks in advance.

Burns Canyon Road out by Pioneer Town/BigBear is a great ride that any stock truck can do.

Thanks bro. This past Sunday I went up to cleghorn ridge. Bro, I was not ready for that tiny little trail. I had old tires and no experience. I saw to jeeps go in so I just followed. My heart was racing. I was expecting a wide open dirt area like Azusa OHV. Turned out to be a one lane donkey trail up a mountain. We had fun, but that was definitely above my comfort zone.

LOL man, that is rough, I know the feeling. There's many more mellow ones, its much better to get comfortable with your rig and your skills on easier trails with smaller obstacles. The other thing I will suggest is checking on the weather. We did this Burns Canyon trail once in rain and as we climbed up the backside of the mountain, the snow started coming down. It was no joke and we turned around, tons of people getting stuck and sliding around. Also good to have a map and gps track on your phone. You can get them from different sites and some folks here post them up sometimes as well.

I was at Cleghorn on Sunday as well. Wonder if we crossed paths. I was with a raptor, 4Runner and my Tacoma.

I feel like we did. You drive a white tacoma too? I was with my whole family. If you are who I think you are, we briefly greeted each other by a ledge? You were there with a girl?

I am also a beginner and would like to hit some not so difficult trails to get some experience. Maybe we should plan a beginner trip. :)

I was there a couple of weeks ago, it was closed, ended up parking of to the side right before Burro Canyon and flying my drone.

I have recovery points on my truck, just waiting for the tow strap to arrive.
