I have a 2002 tacoma xtra cab 4x4 2.7L. I put the first mile on this truck. It's been a great truck. There's a constant beeping, it's the sound the truck makes when you leaving the key in the ignition and open the door, except it's doing this with truck off and the door closed and the key in my pocket. The beeping stops when the truck is started. Please help

Integration relay??? Mine developed a short (due to a leaky windshield), and it was doing weird stuff like lights coming on at night. It controls a lot of lights, locks, warnings, dimming/delayed off of dome. Those more learned on all things electrical may be able to elaborate more.

I had the same issue a year ago after I had installed a new radio. We replaced the inside fuse box and it's been good up until now. Could a faulty radio make the fuse box go bad twice? I installed the radio with a wire harness and plugged into the truck plugs.

Wouldn't think you aftermarket radio would cause the fuse box to go bad. There's a switch that bolts to the side of the ignition key tumbler. Take it off and clean it. I'll try to find a pic.

Or unplug it. If it still does it unplugged then its in the integration relay.

I haven't found a fuse box and I didn't get a chance to check the plug on the ignition, because the beeping stopped. There's no explanation,it just stopped. It makes it hard to troubleshoot when it's not doing it.

I may have found the source of the problem. I was checking my truck today to see if the beeping had shown back up and the floor board was soaking wet under the floor mat. I removing the fuse box and it had water on it, still not beeping. Now I just have to figure out how the water is getting in.

Hope it isn't a leaky windshield frame due to rust (my issue).
