Looking to purchase a bed tent for my 2017 trd off road double cab short bed. I do not have a cap and would like to spend $600 or less. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Check out the Right line gear truck tents, I have one for my DCSB and I absolutely love it. Let me know if you want some pics of it in action.

Napier Sportz Truck Tent 57 series. Got it for $209 on autoanything.com last summer. Two draw backs. You'll need someone to give you hand assembling it and the one pole that goes around the tailgate/door entryway broke. The pole breaking is very common in reading the reviews. Napier offered to replace with verifying my proof of purchase but i havent gotten around to emailing the invoice. Used for one week last summer. Two nights it poured rain and i stayed nice and dry. My buddy with a traditional ground tent ended up sleeping in the cab. He had his tent right were the water flows and got soaked, loltaco tent.jpg

Downside of a bed tent for me. When I go camping, I haul a good amount of gear in the bed. To set up the tent, I need to take all of the gear out. Too much hassle for me, especially if we’re on the move, not basecamping.

I’d rather just get a nice ground tent.
