Bed Storage Ideas

Hey guys,

I’m looking for bed storage ideas for my 2021 Tacoma TRD off road, I want to store all of my hunting gear and fishing gear in the bed and make sure it’s locked up when I’m not using it? What do you guys use or recommend?

 

My needs are different, but I would buy this for gear storage. I have a friend that loves his, even after much abuse.

I guess the hunting rack in rear window won’t work… (old style). I have a solid trifold and lock the tailgate can’t see and it would take a crow bar to open and see if anything is there

Truck vaults are nice but expensive

 

Best mod ever is a camper shell. You can dig deep into organization needs after that, but camper shell meets all needs.

I use 3 of these. $50.
Those with tailgate locked and hard tonneau and youre good to go.

I just got one (finally found a used color matched) and I love it! The Tacoma's shallow box depth combined with a folding cover left me little room to put stuff in. I had to pull the bed mat out, center under the cover's aluminum channel, just fit a 60 qt rotomold cooler under a folder, my larger cooler wouldn't even fit without the cover folded up,,, negating the point of having it. Of course the times when I could fit my items under the cover, I couldn't stack hardly anything, so I had to smash everything forward.
I lucked out, and the guy I bought my topper from had a DECKED, so I went home with a package deal

 

What camper shell are you using?

 

Ditto. Every time someone asks questions about my truck, I'm always saying out of everything done to the truck, nothing beats the camper shell, and is my favorite purchase. My setup is a hard camper shell, a carpeted 3 piece bed platform I made, and 2 jet sleds underneath as drawers that hold all my hunting gear (or other stuff outside of hunting season).
