I would go to Home Depot for a Husky box I think it's cheaper and stronger than The Rubbermaid and it has wheels and a handle !!

I'm from Canada, so I shipped to Sumas Washington and picked up across the border. Shipping was the killer... but they're listed for $55 each and the table legs are separate. Seen them as cheap as $12 a set. And the table when fully locked together is extremely sturdy (no wobbling at all) just wouldn't sit/stand on it

Here's he links for both items:

    Chest-
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/152089743423
    Legs-
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/142026074222

In case any Canadians are looking at purchasing these I will state the following:

    - Ship to the states and pick up across the border of at all possible. Shipping to Canada in some instances is double the price
    - Chest and Legs with shipping and current US exchange rate gave me a grand total of $175 for each container. So they're not cheap, but considerably cheaper than a smaller alu-box

I was using a plano trunk but got frustrated with it. Would bow it and the lid wouldn't fit. Not real heavy duty. Too big. And no hinge. Had to take it right out to get into it. Went to home depot today and bought a Dewalt box. Heavy duty. Solid. Clean looking. And fit everything in from the one twice the size. Just packed it in. So happy. And cheaper than action packers.

I've had 2-3 Plano boxes for various purposes and they were all pretty much garbage. The only thing I would buy from them would be a tackle box (if that).

I guess they would serve a purpose somewhere, but I should have known. $24 at wally world. Someone else on here made a comment awhile ago that they only ever buy top quality right out of the gate. I usually do the same, but tried to save a few bucks and that's what I get. I guess my hunting gear crate just got upgraded though lol

I bought a Plano hunting locker box years ago. Long enough for a rifle or short shotgun. The entire back lid was a plastic piano hinge. Yeah it lasted about 1 year.

    who makes those?
I've got a few plano ones, one has taken one hell of a beating (slightly ran over by a subaru forester) and the other one fell off a mates truck going highway speeds full of gear. Looking to replace the two, the planos were great but open to new ideas.

    EDIT
Just saw you posted above that they are plano's lol.
So guess I'll just stick to plano.

I was thinking these when I was at home depot.
Then thought of a husky version they had.
Then realized I can get new planos to replace the ones I already have for cheaper than both lol.

@0210 needs to get in here.
He built a pretty kick ass storage system for his truck. Its in his build thread.

Oh yeah, the big/black one I had built has already been scrapped in favour of upcoming bed storage version #27 :D Soon, soon :D

At this very moment I'm working on mounting my solar panel under my Front Runner roof rack, but on drawer slides, so that I can slide it out when parked. Too many projects, not enough time!

Does anyone know of a shorter storage box? I currently have two of the husky ones (30.5 x 20.6 x 16.5) and want to move them up above the bed rail but below my bed rack; similar to the all pro pack rack.

Problem is I only have 11.5" between the top of the bed rail to the bottle of the bed rack. I've been searching Amazon for the last 30 minutes and can't find anything. If I go shorter I end up with tiny boxes.

The boxes will be used for food and the other for any other gear. I'd even be fine with one big long box.
