6 bed bolts, remove gas cap (4 bolts), remove tail lights, bed electrical outlet, tailgate and camera. There are a few clips you must remove off the bed by the tail lamps. And its off. I dont remember the size of the torx bit required though. That will be the only special thing you'll need.

If you're talking the 6 torx bolts in the bed, it's T55.

Is there a flatbed/tray in the future with that truck?

I finally got through and was able to purchase one for the sake of supporting our TacomaWorld vendors.

    Thank you ME-SO Customs!

    Just an FYI
You don’t need to remove your bed to install that

I was looking into doing some rust proofing and rubberized undercoating. I'm trying to weigh my options for what would be the best method to coat the entire frame. It'd be much easier if the bed was off the frame.

Bump. If I just pulled the 6 bed bolts, would there be enough wiggle room to slide the bed back a few inches? Mounting some items to the front of the bed, and just need enough clearance to snake a hand in between the bed and the cab to get some nuts on some bolts...

    DONT DO THE RUBBERIZED UNDERCOAT!
It’s horrible in the long run and will LITERALLY speed up rust

Edit: oh shit, just realized how long ago this was, welp, there goes that

Don't do it. That stuff captures moisture.

Seems like there would not be enough slack in the gas filler and wiring harness for 'a few inches'.

But I could be wrong, as I have not done one.

Heck even a quick experiment. Soak a rubber band in water for a few minutes then leave it out in the sun for an hour. It's will be brittle and begin to expose the frame anyway.
