So with the new Leer cap (stupid snugtop: they were jerks when I called and asked why they don't make a midrise for the short beds), it mounts into the bed rails...ok...wait a min...damn lip hangs over and now the cleats can't tighten down. :sigh:

Are there aftermarket cleats available?? Did a quick search and all I found were a bazillion links to ebay (and tw.com lol) selling the stock ones.

you could pay 80 bucks for four of those, or just go to home depot and spend 8 bucks and make your own. I went and made 8 of them. Just search for home made bed tie downs.

unless your loaded and are cool with wasting 80 bucks for plastic, then go ahead.

Is this where I find your posts about both of your Snugtops leaking like a sieve ?

hey, like i said before just go make your own, and skip every issue....less money, and zero clearance issues. it should be a no brainer, but i guess for some its not....

Yup, done. Love the fact I can just tighten it down by hand or with a screwdriver through the "eye" instead of rubbing my fingers raw messing around with the stock ones, which are plastic and have a less than optimal design, to put it tw.com friendly language requirements.
