Quick question with hopefully a quick answer.... I love the look and functionality of them but I throw a dirt bike in the back of the truck regularly... How customizable or removable are they to be able to accommodate the dirtbike? Something tells me not so much.

Most aren't and come with the compromise of useable bed space...but there are one or two varieties that are adjustable for height and easier to remove than others. I think Thule makes an adjustable one?

I have the KB Voodoo Hi-Rise Crossbars which are very easy to remove - to remove the bars themselves its just rotating the threaded knob and you can pull them off of the brackets. To remove the brackets (if you want, they won't prevent access to the bed at all) it's two 12mm (I think) bolts.

My cousin has a leitner designs rack on his Tacoma and that doesn't interfere at all with putting bikes in.
