I searched around a bit on here to find a conversation about the different molle systems but didn't see anything. Wondering what you guys have and if you would recommend one product vs another?

I've been looking at the CALI RAISED system VS the VICTORY 4X4. I'm open to any other suggestions.

I've also been doing a bit of research and there's not a lot of comparison between the two. That being said, both are solid brands and both seem like your typical molle panel system. Maybe it's just how i've been searching, but it seems that more people have the CALI Raised than the Victory.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one, but i'd also love to hear from others who have similar setups.

I've been eying these as well. Me personally, I would stay away from Victory. There's a thread around here about their roof racks and they seem to have a lot of QC issues even after they were "corrected".

Bartact Seat Covers, Cali Raised LED molle bed system, radio knobs and Subaru Tweeters, OCD interior parts, OEM Exhaust tip, dash cam, hood protector, various theft deterrent items. Still a WIP
I have the CaliRaised Molle system and use it quite a bit. The only thing I needed to add was some caps over the exposed threaded screws on the forward panels and I used some 3M fastener to attach the left side to the bed since I don't have a cubby on that side (2019 TRD OR). I will probably hard mount the left side but I wanted to leave my options open for a cubby install or my own custom bed mods on that side. I am not an expert installing molle bags and straps so I might be doing it wrong but I end up using my fingers to fish the straps through the holes. Their molle holes are properly de-burred so I don't cut up my fingers. Also you can purchase the front and rear panels separately as well as the front bed panel so there is some level of customization based on your needs. Victory looks like you have to purchase the whole left or right panel but I could be mistaken.

I can't really speak to the Victory molle panels but I know there was some de-burring issues with their roof rack. I would give their panels a really good inspection before installation just so you don't snag a strap or a finger. I haven't heard of de-burring problems with their molle panels and the roof racks were vendor specific from what I gather from their posts in regards to the issue. It's just something I would check.

I would watch the installation videos for both systems since they differ. Also the front Victory panel offers some different options for high lift mounting. To me both look like solid options but I do have bias since I have the CaliRaised system. Definitely pull up both websites and do a side by side comparison. I ultimately went with CaliRaised because of quality, cost, and discounts at the time.

Thanks for the pictures and info. Does it work under the BAK BAKFlip MX4 tonneau Cover. I think that cover moves the rails down a bit.

Edit: Nevermind. I saw on your site that you offer a set that fits the BAK covers.

So I bought the Victory 4x4 side panels. Their install video is super nice and explained a lot. The product is 100% perfect and showed up fast and well protected. I personally don't see any QC issues BUT...I am 1 person.
I jumped on their black friday deal before looking into some of the "how" in regards to the molle panels. I have the rails shifted down an inch due to my XTang Tonneau (just like the pictures on the CalleRaised Bakflip version). That said, I bought some longer torx bolts and am making some shims just to align it nicely. Not a big deal at all just a little bit of puzzle solving for my own specific application.

I like the Victory version because it goes behind the cleat rail...which arguably you don't need if you have the panels BUT I think it just adds another layer of functionality and aesthetic. The front panels (by the cab) have some cool Hi-Lift mounting holes setup and it seems very modular. I don't think there is that big of a difference between the two ultimately.

Oh another note, and it may not matter to anyone, but both setups block the pocket (above the side cubbies) that you can use to hold a cross brace for hauling plywood/sheetrock. I really like them so I have also notched my panels out to retain access to those holes. I should have it finally re-assembled in the next week or two and I can snap a few pics if people care.

Either look good! I have a a victory bedrack and roof rack. Both have been very solid. I do like Caliraised rear panel better because it covers the whole back portion of the bed.

I don’t really need Molle but I like the idea of lots of tie down points that can be positioned to keep small heavy items secure. Factory locations are either too high or too low )short bed). Are these strong enough for propane tanks, 2-5 gallon fuel or water jugs, loaded cooler etc? Thanks.

@CaliRaisedLed, if you get a chance to answer my question I'd really appreciate it.

    Hello,

With our molle panels, RotoPax sells brackets that you can attach to our panels.

    Thanks,

Did a decent amount of research on this, and the Caliraised ones were the only ones that work with my Bakflip Mx4 cover that I have been able to find.

The Victory ones go behind the rail. I am looking at the Bakflip Tacoma instructions and it should work as far as i can tell....that said I am not a Victory rep and I am still monkeying around with mine in the garage to make it work with my Extang cover.

As long as the Bakflip can handle .120 of thickness added behind the bed mounting rails, it should be good to go. I haven't installed a Bakflip in the shop, but I assume that is well within the vehicle variances they allow.

We have had a brand new half a million-dollar laser cutter and new QC procedures and roles in place since late last year and things have been going great. Even before then our tracked product issue rate was in the low single digits, but now it's even lower. The only problem now is getting orders out the door fast enough a record Black Friday rolled into a record December. Grateful for the problem though!

As far as the general question. We both make good stuff, and attack the mounting slightly differently. I think you would be happy with either once you figure out your needs. If you have any questions about our product, please dont' hesitate to ask.

You've said that before, and then people were still posting QC issues....

I didn't say there were no issues, there always will be. All we can do is strive to limit them to the best of our abilities and handle them fairly and professionally when they arise. That thread is a tiny window into what happens here daily in customer service and tech support is all I'm saying.
