New to the group. I just got a 2022 Tacoma and it has a plastic bed liner. I’m wanting to add a retractable waterproof bed cover. Do y’all recommend I put in a spray in bed liner before?

That's not a bed liner. It's the Tacoma's composite bed.

No. What you refer to as a plastic bed liner is the actual bed itself. There is no metal bed underneath that and not much benefit to have bedliner sprayed over the composite bed material other than creating a less slippery surface so stuff doesn't slide around as easily.

The composite bed is the best. Just get a bed mat to keep things from sliding around.
