I just purchased a 2023 Tacoma. It doesn't have the OEM bed lights, so I ordered the dash switch and relay. Is there a harness under the dash, or do I need to order one? If so, what would the part number be?

Yours doesn't have the switch on the left side of your steering wheel for the third brake light? Mine didn't have bed lights, but there was already a harness and the switch for the 3rd Brake Light was already on the dash there to the left of the steering wheel down low.

OEM Bed Lights is the way to go!

Since OP has a TRD, I would venture to say this "DOOR" switch is in the cabin.

The OEM Bed Lights are plug and play and are plenty bright.

Yes, OP, your TRD Off-Road should have that door light switch, it operates the third brake light, and your truck already has the wiring for the bed lights. I just installed some cheap LED's from Amazon for the Tacoma and the wiring was all in mine.

I'm going to insert foot in mouth now, I didn't catch that it was an Access Cab. The wiring should all be there, just need the switch, relay, and lights.

I picked up the parts fmb listed above at local dealer for a '23 access cab. I installed the lights and switch without issue, but when I went to install the relay, there was already one in the slot. The lights still won’t come on with the switch even though there was a relay already in place. (I am first owner, so no other mods have been done that would have added the relay already.) Anyone know what I am missing here? head scratch...

    Did you verify fuse?
The Taco might be missing the wire from cab to engine bay for that circuit.

I doubt it’s a fuse, but valid comment. I’ll check. Thanks for the tip on the wire too. Another one to check. Wondering where you picked up that tidbit?

Not yet. Life got in the way. It is still on my “to do” list though.

IMG_0207.jpg Hey guys, I’m facing similar issue on my taco, and I’ve discovered the EB1 female connector is missing the pin for the black wire .

So were you able to figure out how to make it work? If yes, what did you do?

I’m planning to power the black wire directly, but I need to figure out which voltage is the correct one, but I will try that tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated.
