Bed dimensions of 2016

    wndering the bed dimensions on new Tacomas compared to old. From my research it seems like the only difference is the tailgate "bulge"

    Posted in another thread. While the picture is of a 2nd Gen, measurements were taken by a 3rd gen.

    B - 60.3"
    C - 41.5"
    D - 56.7"
    BED DEPTH - 18.0"

    wasn't able to find other measurements

    Thanks, but I'm more interested to see if the older toppers/caps will still work on the 2016's, and if not why.

    The bed is an inch higher than second gen trucks and a second gen cap would thereby sit an inch above the cab when installed on a '16. More importantly though is the difference in tailgate profile, the '16 sticks out further and has a really pronounced curve, a second gen cap likely won't even close without modification to the lower part of the door.

    It helps, I should have been more specific, wondering more about 2nd gen toppers on the 2016's. I do appreciate the comments tho!

    A 2nd gen shell will not fit at the tailgate.
