Hey Tacomaworld, first time poster here. Im wondering what the length of everyone else’s bed cap for dbl cab short beds are? Im looking at a used cap for sale and the seller says it’s 67x60, is this what your bed caps measure out as?

Hi Dave. Welcome. Hopefully I don’t give you the wrong impression of this forum as it can be a really good resource but I have to ask. Did you even try just asking google what size the bed a 2015 dbl cab long bed is?

No worries, I have googled it and even measured the bed myself, I’m more focused on the bed cap, 67 inches seems long but not insane, really curious to see what other people who own caps get for length.

I’d look at it this way. If the seller cannot guarantee the cap is from an 05-15 access or double cab shortbed Tacoma there is no guarantee it will fit correctly. If they don’t live far from you offer to meet him and literally place it on your truck, if it fits correctly you’re good to go. If not, say thank you and go home, except for gas there was no money spent on something that doesn’t work. Good luck

Oh, ask them to provide the serial number and the brand and then contact the manufacturer and ask what model and brand/make truck it was built for.

OP, if you have a shortbed which is a 5ft bed then the cap will not fit. It won't even fit any model bed size 2nd gen Tacoma. You can't get a generic cap off another mid size truck and fit it on a Tacoma. Get one made for a 2005-15 Tacoma to fit your SB. Even 1st or 3rd gen Tacoma caps won't fit right due to slight variances of body styles.

    Welcome to TW.
