Looking for a good spot for some tent camping on the beach in CT/RI/MA, maybe do some beach wheeling. Currently looking at East Beach in RI, any other recommended areas?

I would have to say Nausett beach (orleans Cape Cod MA) is my favorite spot. Theres only about 10 miles designated for offroading, but as long as you are "fishing" they let you camp on the beach. Everytime i've taken my truck out there, we just cast empty lines when we set up and reel them in the next morning when we leave. You do however need to have an off-road beach sticker and they can be a little pricey.

So I was reading up on the off-road requirements and noticed that tent camping is prohibited (http://www.nps.gov/caco/cape-cod-national-seashore-oversand-beach-driving.htm). Can you tent-camp if you're fishing?
