If you ever seen YouTube channel LLOD. He posted a Video for a External Terminal Block to add aftermarket electrical parts. Anyone ever done this? I don’t want a lot of stuff attached to my battery. Any info for you have left me know.

Mid 90's Chevys use this buss bar, mounted on the firewall sort of in the middle.

My installation is a proof of concept at the moment...

Looks like you went from that block to a terminal block that was external and all your accessories go to that external one? That’s exactly what I wanna do. I was thinking of just getting some battery cable and adding it to the battery just buying an oem or standard terminal block to mount externally.

These aren’t external but I highly recommend them. They are worth the money!!

The odd thing is that GM had it just like that, except on the firewall.

I do understand your point, though.

There’s a lot that can go wrong with that, for example if you’re in snow country you’re going to get salt spray buildup in that part of the engine bay which could lead to electrolysis, and hopefully not, but if you’re ever in an accident and that block breaks off the sidewall and hits something that is grounded, it could touch off a fire if there’s any gasoline spilled in there.

Blue Seas sells some really good blocks that have thick covers, sort of like the one somebody posted above.
