    Hey Everybody,

How is everybody doing on this Monday evening? Hope all of you are doing great.

What size battery does a 1999 Tacoma with a 3.4 take? From the research I have done, it takes either a 24F or 35.

Thank you in advance for all of your replies.

    Take care,
    Paul Muzinich

You can go with either, the 24F is slightly wider but it has a little higher cranking amps and capacity.

As posted in February, I bought an Interstate Group 35 AGM battery for my '97 Tacoma at Costco. It cost $154.99 and had to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Other auto parts stores were over $200 for their AGM batteries. Costco's Interstate Group 35 traditional lead acid battery was in stock for less than $100. Costco is by far the cheapest store for car batteries if you have a membership. Walmart is the 2nd cheapest if buying the comparable non-AGM EverStart Maxx battery, which was $129. Just an FYI for those in the market for a battery for their Taco.

I've had the 24F, but I'm doing the 35 next time because it fits in the tray and brackets better in my 2006.

Everstart Platinum AGM 24F is $150 at Walmart. I have a Costco membership, but if I need to trade out a battery under warranty, there are way more Walmarts in far off places
