I hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas.

I replaced my battery yesterday as I wanted something bigger and to go AGM to handle the additional accessories. I also use a tender often for ideal charging strategies. 4 year free replacement on the EverStart Platinum series and I believe it’s still made by Johnson Controls, or Clarios as they are now called. Anyway, it fits just fine.

OEM bracket will require some modifications to the length of the back rod.

I believe this line is made in Germany, so while Clarios does own that company too, it’s a varta plant instead of a Johnson control plant

I have one of them in a vehicle to try, was dirt cheap but I also noticed it was significantly lighter than the outgoing diehard Platinum that lasted 11 years

Interesting. I had a Varta in my 2014 Audi A8. That battery was a monster and very heavy in comparison.
