I just installed the pedal monster on my ‘21 TRD sport 4x4. Actually I installed two different ones and I keep getting error codes on the device itself. I haven’t found anything about it on the forum or internet really. I called their technical support and they sent me a new one but still same error codes.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

It works but reverse safety doesn’t work and it won’t let me change the settings when the error codes appear.

I’ll get one once my warranty expires but for now it’s been pretty great other than the error codes.

so you're getting error codes with the device and worried about factory warranty if you get a tune? I'm with @fourfourone, scrap it and get a tune. If you're worried about voiding your factory warranty, there is huge thread that should help ease some of your concerns

I’ve read thru the threads and reviews and seen videos. I just have a question about error codes and can’t find any info about it. I’ll get a tune later but for now it’s just fine for what I need. It wasn’t too expensive plus a quick install. And I disconnected it before I went to the dealership the other day and it was fine.

if anyone has any info, I’d really appreciate it or you can just tell me how trash it is and how a tune is so much better :)

Have you called Banks to chat with them about it? That is what I would do.

I have ran Banks tunes and other performance products. They do a pretty good job and are the "safest" of all the plug and play throttle controllers.

So I will also jump on the bandwagon on a tune. There just isn't a comparison between a general hand held programmer vs a custom tune. I use Calibrated Performance via EZLynk Auto Agent on my diesel. As I change things on my Duramax I can autolog and send the tuners what they need to adjust my specifice truck (ie...different turbo or injectors..etc).
