I know people love the Uni-ball but I live in the NorthEast and drive 35K miles a year.
So weather can be an issue with the Uni-ball is what I am learning.

Going with the OME lift kit with 885's and think I should just put on new UCA's because I will be in there. Also will be replacing all bushings on truck with Energy Suspension.

Looking at Camburg and Light Racing and have read good and bad about both in the past.

    Question:
Am I correct about the Uni-ball in my area and if correct, which Ball Joint UCA do you prefer, Light Racing, Camburg or other?

If not correct which Uni-ball UCA do you like, Total Chaos, Camburg or other???

I am running the most recent uniball setup from Camburg, as well as my brother in his ford f150. I have put mine through some dessert, highspeed bumps and held up fine. i am yet to run it through the trails. my brother onthe other hand has put his through mud, snow, and creeks and hasnt had a problem. the things are definitely built to last, (as im only saying from experience), what did you read that said they dont handle weather well?

This is what it says on their web page:

"The ball-joint arms also hold up better under wet harsh conditions compared to a uniball since it’s a sealed & greased joint."

My worry is that I drive a lot and will obviously see issues faster than a guy that only drives 10k miles a year.

no experience with camburg but light racing I have though its on a first gen. the first LR uca had problems with breakage at the weld. They've re-design the bushing which I think was causing it. I haven't seen or heard of this happening since the re-design. Only if they (LC) added gussets to their arms, it be a sweet set-up. I've been running mine (new design bushing) for almost 3 years with no problem and I don't baby my truck.

There are a few of us here in PA running uni-ball arms with out issue. They have to be lubed, otherwise you will get a squeak.

There is a reason race trucks use uni-ball and factory OE is a sealed ball joint though, so pick your poison.

I have camburgs, use tri-flo or another dry lubricant, grease or similar attracts and binds dirt.

I average 20k miles/year. These arms have 10k on them.

    3in lift, front fox coilovers.
I replaced my stock for camburg (the exact ones you have a pic of) because I was installing fox 2.5 coilovers with the resi which would put it at around 3in of lift. if you are going to go with camburg they sell kits at their website, so that if your considering shock replacement it might not be a bad idea to do it all at once since you'll be working on that area already. and although i wouldnt necessarily suggest them for customer service and or knowledge, i went through 4wheel parts to get my uniballs and it cost me the normal amount without shipping because i went in person to their store.
