Trying to narrow down which cover to get.

Was close to the diamondback SE, but the more I looked the more impractical it seems. i.e. very difficult/awkward to put a tractor or snowblower in the bed with it, etc.

So, based on reviews here, am now leaning towards to Bakflip, and am looking for some advice on which version to get (MX4, Fibermax or F1)???

    Thanks,

Fibermax. Wish I would of bought one instead of this dam TruXedo Sentry that the rails don't fit our Tacoma's. Been 4 years these trucks have been out. You would think the engineers at TruXedo would have it figured out by now. They won't get anymore of my money that is for darn sure.

    Thank you!

Doing some research I am seeing 2 common issues with BAK flip: Water leaking (seems to be more than expected with a number of customers); and, Closing with the rear tailgate.
However, I cannot figure out which line (Fibermax, MX4 or F1) these issues are most prevalent with???

I got an MX4 and its leaking terribly. I had it installed professionally and they are doing their part to correct it but its leaking pretty bad.

When it comes to comparing these 3 models, the most important factor is where you are located. The MX4 is a hard aluminum cover with a black powder coat finish. it will do best in states that experience extreme sunlight and heat. The MX4 and F1 are considered BAK's premium covers. They have all of the same features but a different construction. The F1 is made from fiberglass reinforced polymer. This material is more dent and impact resistant, making it a great choice for those that are located in a state that experiences hail and other harsh condition - While it is more dent and impact resistant than the aluminum cover (the MX4), it is not as UV or fade resistant. The Fibermax is a step down from the 2 already mentioned. It is made of the same materials as the F1, however it does not feature the upgraded tailgate seal (that allows you to open and close your tailgate without needing to operate your cover) and it also can not support as much weight across the top.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
