    Welcome to the forum!

You realize those are not fog lights right? They should never be run on the street as they will blind others since they don't have fog cut offs and they will be ineffective in fog for the same reason. Those are off road only lights, not fog lights.

See this thread for actual fog lights, and note the examples in the very beginning of what not to do (like run those very lights as fogs):

Based on your 2nd photo, I would not want to be driving towards you at night.
Your truck and your money, but seems like a waste of space since you can’t have actual useful fog lights now.

Most used too, when Baja illegitimately mislead their customers and promoted that as ok. Even Baja advises people not to do that now, and for them to be off road only. Far better performing lights exist for actual road use and fog performance with cut offs, the notion of Squadron sports for use on the street is an extremely dated an very poor performing product for the purpose. Off road they are great, on road they are practically worthless.

OP forget these naysayers. And they are in fact fog lights, they are technically off road light yes but I think they work just fine on-road as a matter of fact in the two years I've had mine I've maybe been brighted twice, I drive with them on during the day as well. Safety first!
No cut off lines blah blah whatever. Can't tell you how many cops have driven right past me at night with no issues. Drive on OP drive on!

Welp...that's a blatant disregard for safety.

If you don't believe the "naysayers", i would maybe believe these guys. I think they know a thing or two about these lights.

ITS ONE THING TO HAVE BRIGHT LIGHTS TO ASSIST IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS AND ANOTHER JUST BEING A DOUCHE LEAVING BRIGHTS ON WITH INCOMING TRAFFIC.

OP- THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO COME GET INFO AND TIPS AND IDEAS BUT ITS ALSO FULL OF NOT SO GREAT OPINIONS THAT SHOULD BE LOOKED OVER WITH COMMON SENSE AND REASON.

GOOD LOOKING LIGHTS THOUGH, I HAVE THEM AS WELL.

It was pretty clear to me 2 years ago when I bought them from the description on Baja Designs site they were not road legal. So, I use them in adverse conditions, off-road and for what I do for work.

You can use them responsibly sorta like high beams. I bet none of the ball busters here ever speed eh...

    Speed kills!

Glad you like your lights OP, but hopefully you're not running them on roads.

Mostly I would hope you don't want to endanger others so you can show off your lights, but in case you're more like Slick Taco with the attitude of "fuck everyone else I only care about myself" then I'll say if you run illegal lights and cause an accident, it can really bite you in the ass.

Haha what does speeding have to do with anything?

Driving with the non sae lights on in normal conditions on the road is like driving with your high beams on. Very annoying to oncoming drivers.

One spoke about safety and that is what I speaking to. So, if safety is a concern...you see where I am going.

i agree that “high beaming” is annoying but if used responsibly, they’re great!

Why not get the SAE pattern if you intend to use them as a daily tool? Otherwise you’re just like every other doofus with improperly implemented lighting on their truck, and there are a lot of them......

I have a set of Cali raised myself super stoked. OP enjoy your lights. IMO We are In control of when to use our lights. I mainly use them off-road trails etc. Honestly I see more douche bags running there high beams than people running bright ass fog lights.

If used responsibly, is the key word. Nobody is disputing the awesomeness of those lights. Its the "who gives a shit" mentality that slick taco is talking about, is what's wrong.

While non sae lights will not always cause an accident, why increase the chances of causing an accident all because "who gives a shit".
