I am looking for a 30" light bar for my front Relentless Fabrication Predator Bumper. It is designed specifically for Baja Designs - 30" S8 Light Bar which is $800!!!!

I am hoping someone has figured out a cheaper light bar to use in its place.

    Thanks!PXL_20211221_191935214.jpg

BD products are on a bunch of sales, and sometimes rebates. If you're patient, you can scoop one up for quite a bit less than retail.

Is this light 100% a replacement for the 30 inch baja designs s8? I have a bumper with the BD S8 cutout.

I'll see if the diode works. It's 1" longer, but I can probably make it work. They have a great return policy so not too worried if it does not work.

    Thanks!

I would go with Diode Dynamics as well. The BD lights have been hit and miss for reliability somewhat recently. Their customer service is great at handling he issue, but it still seems pretty frequent. Another downside is that BD's thermal control seems to throttle the output down quite a bit compared to other brands. Check out Diode Dynamics SSC2 comparison video where they compare other brands compact 2 LED lights. They specifically mention and show how the BD S2 Pro dims almost 50% in about 30min, almost to the point of being the same output of the BD S2 Sport. So what's the point of a light thats bright initially, but fades quickly?

Diode Dynamics and Rigid have much better thermal control with less throttling than most manufactures, that is truly where they shine!

Diode dynamics is a better built light. I'd go that route.

Does it have the same output though? (My question is Moreso for Diode Dynamics amber light bar than their white light bars…)

I have an SSO bumper with an S8 30 inch cut out. You could make the Diode dynamics replacement work but it wont sit centered. Also there is some spacing issues with gaps (may not sit perfectly centered). If someone has a cut out for an S8 cutout and can post a DD lightbar mounted, I'd love to see pictures.

I have found a new 30" S8 - Driving combo in Amber for $675ish. Few vendors selling them pretty cheap.

I paid $679.20 shipped, no tax for 30 inch s8, driving combo in clear. PN 703003.

PM me and I'll send you the info. It's a business, nothing shady but don't think they are supposed to sell that cheap lol.
