I get clicking noises (sounds like rattling marbles) on the driver’s side undercarriage when I make right turns. Think it might be a worn cv axle/joint on the driver’s side. Before I start reaching out to greedy hungry mechanics for quotes. Should I replace both cv axles or just the side that is worn/damaged? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it or is better to replace both at the same time? What’s a reasonable range for parts and labor (I’m in California)?

    Thanks!

I'd just replace the one that's bad. I've read you can get an OEM reman fairly cheap. There may be a core charge, so you could check your local dealer to see if they'll match online prices to avoid shipping the core.
