With small bed rail system. Problem is the plastic rail guard and access to the bolts.

The bolt goes through the slot in the slide rail (between the top and bottom rail). The nut slides in from the opening at either end of the slide rail after you remove the plastic end cap. I preferred the brackets for a toolbox because they lay flat on the bed rail. The non-toolbox brackets sit above the rail.

The Back Rack to me never seemed to offer much protection for the rear glass , lots of other headache rack styles offer more

They offer a couple different types. I didn't want it to look like I worked for the bridge authority. No offense.

I don't even know what that means , so no offence taken . If you have a headache rack to keep firewood from going through the back glass or similar , the Back Rack offers no protection , thats what I'm saying . Your end use may differ

I don't load cords of firewood or anything, but it comes in handy if you're transporting tall items which could lean forward and hit the cab (furniture, fridge, etc.). Wasn't being disrespectful to the bridge workers is all. Lol.
