2 things to remember while driving a 4 door Tacoma. Don't be texting while driving, don't be trying to open the rear sliding window while driving. Common sense isn't as common as it was in the past.

I had a 2018 rental Tacoma for a week and it had a rear slider power and I kinda liked it it would be nice to have. Not to get to off topic but does anyone know the part number for the whole outside window seal mine is all pitted up from the sun and I would like to replace it thanks

At least on the 2nd gen, it’s part of the window, glued. You’d have to replace the whole unit/window.

Um really? I can think of 5 other pieces of glass as a way to get in as well. If anyone thinks they Fort Knox’d their truck by getting rid of the rear slider ...

$288.90 at a local glass shop. Im real happy with it since I lost the middle slider window 5 years ago from a break in. Still going to get it and the rear door glass tinted dark.

When I bought my 2nd gen it had a solid rear that was wavy. Toyota put a new window in and it was also wavy. They told me they were just like that and they would give me a slider if I didn't like it. I took the slider on their dime.

I don't know if i could ever give up my slider. You get the fresh air, without a lot less noise than opening the other windows.

And power? I open it when I get in, close it when I get out.

Figure out how to install a power dropping window like the 4Runner has. I've only used my slider a few times for long lengths of wood molding or PVC pipe into the cab.
