AVS LIGHTSHIELD HOOD PROTECTOR

Hey Y’all,

First post here. I’ve already gotten a rock chip on the hood of my 2020 OR and am now looking for a bug/rock deflector. I was wondering what y’alls options are on AVS’ new hood protector that includes amber lights. Any suggestions or pictures would be most appreciated.

Welcome and good luck with the new truck. The bugshield is nice but not my style.

 

Auto Anything has it on sale for $115. It’s definitely different but I could see it giving the truck an industrial look. Possibly an alternative to the Raptor leds on the Pro grill.

 

I put it on my Christmas list lol.. we shall see

 

Not that there is much life in this thread, but I finally got it put on and wired up

COMMENCE PHOTO FLOOD!









Installing was very straight forward, awkward at first when lining up but everything does fall into place. I would have to give it overall a 4/5, but that rubber adhesive tab that hides/protects the part of the wire that wraps around and underneath the hood has ripped less in less than 24 hours after installation. Also, as documented in the last pic there is moisture getting inside from where the cable comes out of right side of the LED light strip. Easy fix, but still a bummer to see after the first wash with it on. I will try and take some pics at night later to see how they look!

 

But how will the scoop operate now?

Anywhere I can get thorough info on how to install wiring? I'm Stoopid boi and do not know wife stuff. Please help. Pictures more than welcome!

 

Can anybody share a little help on the wiring question? The instructions are very detailed right up until the part where it says "wire it to your market light circuit".
I can't figure out which is the marker light circuit and the internet has plenty of videos about how to install this by adding a fuse, but nothing about that. Anybody help, please?
