Holy cow....So I went with an AVS bugflector II (25310) for my 2015 Prerunner Sport DC and I swear that the hood will not close with this thing installed correctly.

In fact, beyond pushing down really hard on the hood to get the latch to take, it is binding on the tops of my head lamps. I do not want to do this obviously. #wtf

But has ANYONE installed #25310 on their 2015 PR Sport and had the hood close normally?

Mine is installed correctly with all the right mounting points. You can see in the pic below the slight gap - this is as far as it will go.

    It won't even latch?

I have one (it came with the truck when I bought it) and it does leave some space between the hood and the truck. Its hard to tell from your pic, but mine looks similar in terms of the gap.

It does latch down as it should. I have a 2012 sport, so the same design as you.

If its not latching without a lot of pressure, something may be wrong. I'd be interested to hear if other folks have the same issue. I like the deflector, but may remove it because I'm getting sick of that gap.

Does. Not. Latch. It looks like weather stripping on top of lights and across top of grill is really binding. Let me look at it again and see.

See below for pic of latch area (sorry it is upside down!) - with hood closed, there is about 1/4" to go before the latch mech closes.

Second pic shows an area where it is binding on driver's side...acrylic is literally almost ontop of bumper.

Again, I have everything installed correctly. I am going to try and reinstall the mounting points and see if I can get it set/push deflector back further when I tighten down again to allow some more room.

Otherwise this thing is going back for a refund.

Update - does not latch, even when not using the hardware and allwoing the bugflector to freely move to fit (gently). Oh well....back to Amazon.

Had same problem with my 15 Tacoma Sport. Didn't even try to make it close, removed it to send it back.Local shop was not surprised I had a issue. They said they won't sell them, they really like EGR brand.

Steve - I dont see 2015 models listed on their website. Can you confirm that part #395071WB is the one you have fitted to your 2015 PR Sport? Or assuming you have this one now...

had issues with their vent visors too, they don't go in the way they want them to go in...after sending them emails, talking to customer service and sending pictures multiple times I gave up and installed them the wrong (but only) way they would fit.

They told me I was crazy but I found multiple 2014s on here with the same issue

Just ordered the EGR front shield and also added in the vent visors as well. Spoke to customer service and they assured me these fit 2015. Will post pics when I have them installed.

Well, the final fruits of my painful labor with the crappy AVS bugflector....the EGR shield is just down-right perfect. Build, cut, fit, material, you name it. Cannot say enough about it and would highly recommend this one over a quick decision like the AVS as it is so obnoxiously available at the big box retailers, Amazon, etc. Just order direct from EGR USA like I did.

Wife bought me the Bugflector II for Christmas (it came on Sunday so it was an "early" present) and I installed it same day. The protectant film did nothing so I removed it from the grill where you could see it. The hood shuts fine, its just that the passenger side sits higher than the driver side. Not sure what the problem is. It was dark by the time I finished with it so I'm going to take another crack at it when I get home to see if I can fix it since it is very obvious that it is crooked. This isn't just an OCD "OMG its off by 1/100th of a inch" thing, its noticeable.

Did you have issues with the included screws being loose? I just installed the Aerowrap on mine and the two screws on the edges of the hood are not tight at all. I can turn them with my fingers.
