They do offer a military discount, the guy at the counter was a prick when the OP went to collect his discount. He's entitled it says Autozone Corp. and yes a buisness in the USA that doesn't support the US Military don't deserve support.

I'm not trying to say that, but it was just the fact that that employee decided to be so rude about it.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Save big money? I WISH! I spent so much money there a year ago when I remodeled my house and bathroom. Then, I went back there to get something replaced and they wouldn't replace it after 2 weeks even though I had the receipt. Its more like SPEND big money at Menards.

Wow! I worked autoparts for three years. I came in here thinking you would be ranting about the guy's incompetence. I was planning to defend him for having absolutely ZERO training on how to do his job. Nothing to defend here, what a douchebag:eek: Thanks for serving. Take your business somewhere will they will appreciate it.

never had this happen to me at Autozone, but I have had it happen at a few other stores where I was like "do you have a military discount (as i'm pulling out my ID)" and they just stare at me and then read off my total without giving me an answer or discount.

I usually ask the sales person if they have a military discount
If they say no then I ask if they have a senior discount

If I already know they have 1 or the other
I just ask if i may have the discount

Courtesy makes for a more pleasant transaction
and most times I get thanked for my military service

We even get the discounts on kids meals at Fuddruckers -- LOL

    thanks Fudds

    * Besides you can save more my using the standard codes on their site and just go pick up the item. *

I can see both sides of this... As the autozone employee, which ive been one as long as a manger there, some people feel that they are entitled to a discount. No one is, theres no magical button on the computer that says military discount, we have a courtesy discout 10%. So when anyone comes up to he counter and says ill have a discount, your first reaction is fuck you. But most employees have alittle tact and ask for a mil id or a reason to give the courtesy discount.

As a son to a 30 yr retired father and a brother to a active duty, been to iran brother. I understand what each and every soldier gives up to serve our country and keep my freedom.

If someone came up to me and said ill take the mil discount, my gut reaction would be who the fuck are you, b/c there are dicks everywhere and in any retail/service job you deal with dicks constantly
