I been having an issue with my "auto" headlights for the last couple week and I can't figure out what the issue is. No matter the time of day or condition in which I am in my headlight while set to "Auto" are on and my head unit in the truck auto dims along with it. Even if its 5 in the afternoon and I am facing the sun everything is still on.

I am turning it all off through the switch in order to prevent them from being on and the head unit dimming. I am not sure which sensor on the front control the headlights but they appear to be clean and not blocked by anything that I can tell.

Had the same issue until I realized I had piece of cloth on the dash that was blocking the sensor.

This was my issue. I had an aftermarket remote start installed and they mixed up a couple of the wires. I had a similar issue to you in that my display was dark all the time. Also, if I turned on my high beams my fog lights came on and started pulsing. I took it back to the installer and they had it fixed in about 15 minutes. If you’ve had an electrical work done recently it might be worth taking it back to the installer.

Yup, I put a hat on the light sensor once for a few days and didn't realize it.

Helpful thread. I bought a dash cover and then noticed a week later that my lights were always on... Just needed to align it better
