    Had a blown head gasket. Sent heads to the machine shop. They found 6 of the 24 valves leaking. So resurfaced head and did a valve job. Once I got the heads back, all the valve lash was out if spec, so had to order new shim buckets. Sent valves to machine on August 1st, I'll have it all back together by Sunday. Mostly waiting on parts, and then time to do it too. Now the motor will have all new seals, new timing chain and guides which I found one guide had fallen apart, added engine oil cooler, and also cleaned injectors. Truck should make more power and be more efficient now.

    Heads are on, timing is set. Got the timing cover to put on. I replaced all the oil seal in it, checked the oil pump clearances, and added an oil cooler to it. Now gotta get the truck up on Jack stands and move the steering rack so I can fit the upper oil pan in without messing up the sealant.
