I have a 2022 TRD Off Road and the screen dims and brightens randomly while I'm driving. It does it in the day time and at night. Is there a fix for this?

Check and make sure your light sensor isn't obstructed. Top right of dash

My vote is for something on the sensor. A sheet of paper is enough.

If it's on the passenger side there is nothing on the sensor, but if there was, why would it dim? It seems like that would make it brighter?

It dims to preserve night vision, assuming it’s dark outside the screens needs to be dimmer than during the bright daylight.

I've noticed mine doing that lately as well. No idea why it does it in the middle of the day. 2021

Mine changes briefly when going under a dim underpass during the day.

Any stickers on the windshield near the sensor or aftermarket tint? There is a sensitivity adjustment in the settings somewhere for the automatic headlights and this also activates interior backlighting and dims the screen ETC when they come on.
