Haven't had any glare issues yet. The screen is bright and the angle is good.

Too bad they don't have them without the ignition button for the manual crowd.

I had the non JBL system and upgraded Kicker speakers. The sound is the same or better (after playing with the eq adjustments). The new unit has preamp outputs if you want to take it further and add amps.

I think you could just plug the hole or make it a different switch.

I just ordered one and used your code. I am wondering if there is a way to use the stock Mic and cellular antenna.

Also the reviews I have seen Youtube say the carplay and bluetooth connection is an issue. I am planning on just using a cellular sim card with a data only plan.

Does this support heated seats? It looks like it removes all the HVAC controls to include the heated seat controls. It looks like it does support the dual zone climate control.

There is no way that I know of. The built-in Mic works well though. Can’t speak to the antenna as I don’t use a SIM card in mine.

That's literally the only grip I have, the CarPlay is sometimes unpredictable. It is awesome when it works. And eight times out of 10 it connects quickly. There are times though where you drive a couple miles before it connects.

I’ve been happy with it so far. Definitely gives a more modern feel to the interior. I really like having the CarPlay. There is however, an intermittent CarPlay connection delay that can be frustrating.

Have you installed the Aucar Head unit yet? If so, how do you like it so far?

I suggest not using car play. Don't think of this as a headunit to connect your cell phone. you are pretty much trying to connect your small tablet(phone) to your big tablet (head unit) Just get a data only unlimited sim card from a cellular provider and have the headunit use its own connectiviity.

Part of the issue with carplay if it is using bluetooth, then the transfer is limited to 3 mbps. Maybe try using it over wifi if that's an option.

It just arrived this week and an adapter i bought to reuse the factory gps antena just came today. I am trying to see if I can find a wire to use the factory cellular antenna instead of putting the two the kit comes with in my dash.

It has been working well with CarPlay. Just an occasional connection lag...once connected no issues.
