Unless you are in LA traffic everyday get the MT! You'll have way more fun with the 6 speed I promise you. I've driven the autos and they are lame, and crawl control is bitch made in my opinion. Drive your truck, don't let it drive you. 3 pedals for life.

Respect. I've been considering moving out there! Have been kinda dreading the thought of that traffic with the MT. You just made me feel better about it though.:headbang: I thought I might bring my hummer instead of the taco if I went, but I could never leave my taco behind lol

If you need any help, feel free to PM me. Been doing that traffic in everything from a 67 Mini Cooper S, to S2000, to trucks, and many other MT for 17 years.

Hope you have a H1 Alpha, and not a fake H3 Hummer :D

I drive in LA traffic every day in my 5speed manual (2004) in all it's clunky glory, doesn't bother me. Well...I'd be lying if I said I enjoyed it when traffic is especially bad, but all the fun I get to have with the manual trans off-road and on open road drives makes it all worth it.

I much prefer to row a stick in traffic. I use the manual mode of the AT in traffic so I can keep the truck in the gear I want.

anyone had to adjust their clutch to catch a bit earlier. Mine is catching right at the top, not my liking. also looks like the pro doesn't have the hill assist neither :p

Here is the thing... my MT never hunts for a gear. It never needs a reflash to "fix" it. It costs less. It is simple machinery with no planetary gears, computers or fluid couples to spend $4500 on replacement at 150k miles. Just swap a clutch/PP/TO and away you go. Plus, the truck is practically theft proof these days. No one borrows it to move their shit on the weekend because it has 3 pedals. Even the dealer has to go find someone who can drive it when I come in for service. As far as those auto only features... "Crawl Control" is fancy speak for letting the clutch out in 4LO and first gear. Hill assist is for noobs and nancy boys with poor reflexes.

Call me a luddite if you want but to hell with automatics.

    Get off my lawn.

I adjusted my 16 OR. My 17 PRO clutch is perfect.

Real men don't need hill assist.

In all seriousness, I have hill assist on two of my other cars, it is the worst invention ever.

Manual drivers love them. Auto drivers either don't known they are there, or simply tolerate them

When I went to my Aunts Funeral the Home wanted to valet everyone's vehicles and put them in line, the guy must have revved mine to like 7 grand and ended up just putting it in the first spot just because it was the shortest drive.
