Can someone please tell me how to remove the front knob on the Rheostat control (for dimming the dash lights)?
I feel like it should just pull off, but I don't won't to break something if there's another way.
    Appreciate your help.

Throwing this back to the top for round 2 because I'm hoping to do this when I get home. Reason why is I'm replacing the 4x #194 bulbs in the gauge cluster and it would make it much easier to have the rheostat out of the panel so I can easily plug in to check the polarity of the led bulbs.

Just pull it. No clips or hooks only tight fit. By the way if you have rheostat (two wires on the plug and visible wire-type rheostat on the back) the Dimming will not work on LED. Other lights will dim, but your LED will stay bright till the switch off. For LED dimming you need to convert to electronic dimmer (very easy job).

yeah it just pulls right off, no need to worry

honestly I can't remember that I needed to remove it to change gauge cluster bulbs, but could be wrong

for the 01-04 they do dim, just not full range. they will dim down to about 25% and then cut out due to the voltage/amperage?

I'm guessing our has the better version then?
