Art Replica TRD Pro Wheels and OEM Center Caps in Canada

Tacoma People:

I've scoured the net and can't sort through the millions of half-useful bits of info. There is a popular brand of replica wheels here in Canadaland called Art Replica. Can't confirm, but I suspect these are different than another popular rep brand named Replika. I know Replika Pro's have been around here and seem to fit the OEM center caps, but can't be sure about "Art Replica."

I can get a set of the 2019 TRD Pro wheels in +5 offset (rather than the OEM +15), but can't for the life of me tell if an OEM TRD center cap will fit.

This is the OEM center cap I think corresponds with this style wheel.

Thoughts before I go out and buy the wheels and center-caps?

Call and ask them. There are a few replicas out there that magically come with the center caps, but for legal purposes they won't advertise that online. Not sure if Art does that.

 

Not sure if the factory centre caps will fit, but I just installed my ART Replica 237's yesterday. If you want pictures or dimensions I can get them for you.
No pictures on the truck yet...

Edit: I have wondered about the factory centre caps as well... but at the same time, I am fine with the look of them...

So news isn't great. Spoke to a distributor of Art Replica wheels. Although he couldn't confirm, his experience with other OEM vs. rep. center cap issues suggested that the OEM caps won't fit. If the cap was perfectly circular it would likely be a little "off" in size, but could be squeezed in.

Since the center cap here has a portion that contours the lugs (i.e. isn't round but instead sort of "star" shaped), he suspects to the OEM wouldn't be a perfect fit.

Unless someone has some more specific experience dealing with a round cap vs. contoured, have a feeling only way is to buy an OEM cap and try it out in person.

Not a good fit for me. I'm vain and cheap, hence the attempt to Pro-out my Sport with replica stuff...

Sure did - those guys are great to deal with. But they don't usually stock Art Replica so couldn't say for sure.

In the end I can get another replica brand "OE Plus" in the 2019 Pro style, but in +15mm offset, instead of +5mm in the Art Replica.

Not sure if that 10mm make a whole lot of difference going from the +30mm of my current wheels...
