Just bought a 05 Tacoma PreRunner with only 37k miles. I purchased private party and thought I checked out through and through.

Duhhhhh...must have missed checking the power mirrors because they do not seem to work. Left mirror, right mirror, up, down, doesn't matter.

Anyone else have a problem with power mirrors?

Check to see if there is a fuse. Then, Check behind the switch to see if the wireing harness is pluged in all the way.

    POS Tacoma eh....... ;)

If the fuse checks out. Then pop off the glass mirror part. I am not sure if the Tacoma comes with a NON powered mirror model, like the 4 banger or whatever....but you'll be able to see if there are no motors back there. Maybe the guy clipped it off and replaced the housing with a non powered version.

Take some pics if you pop off the mirror. I think they hinge @ the top if I remember correctly. I had to replace mine from an off-roading incident that I don't want to talk about, ok? ;)

    Woooohooooo! Tis done!

Pulled out the little hinged tray and lo and behold there is the connector hanging unplugged.

Reached up in there plugged it in and presto the mirrors work!

    Thanks for the advice!

This is probably a clue that the dash has been pulled apart at some time and the plug wasn't replaced at reassembly. Why was it pulled apart? Who knows? But I'd keep that in mind if it turns out something else isn't working right/squeeking/dripping/etc.
