Is there anything you do to prevent, or fix, "Arizona pinstripes"?
those horizonal scratches you get on the paint when offroading, from bushes, tree branches, etc.

I imagine a vinyl wrap would help, but they cost a lot and are time consuming to install
maybe it's time to apply some paint protectant products such as sealant, wax, etc...

I think that's it. There was a recent GB on it, also not sure if they fit 3rd gen only.

    Goat Armor is the stuff!
Currently 2nd gen is getting tested. Let me follow up with the Matt the owner of goat real quick. His product is awesome. Wipe off truck. Throw it on. Wheel. Take it off. Easy peasy.

Interested in that Goat Armor as well. I contacted them on IG months ago and they said the 2nd gen kit was in the works but hadn't seen anything posted by them about it.

trees in the desert?? damn that looks more like you made love to a cactus!!!

no but more seriously spruce mica looks good regardless, some proper paint correction would help alleviate a good % of those scratches...

It is going through testing phase right now. This week some feedback should be returned and then it’s on to final cuts then will be available.

I just checked out the Goat Armor page. That's pretty cool, I may be interested in that when it becomes available for gen 2

You would be surprised ive done that to my truck numerous times and you can actually buff 90% or more of the scratches out.
The deepest ones can be minimized but not removed and it is very time consuming.

The concern with polishing it out is that you can only do that so many times. You're removing material equal to the depth of the scratches and your clear coat is only so thick. It's not recommended you do an paint correction all that often.

Best way to prevent it is to park toward the back of the mall parking lot.

ceramic coat does not protect against pinstripes, trust me. A vinyl wrap would be a great option though, I know a few people that have wheeled with wraps and the wrap gets all the pinstripes, then they replace it at the end of the year and the paint is still perfect.

Your best protection against them is the magnetic panels that cover your bodywork such as https://www.goat-truckarmor.com/ and others. They are thicker than a normal vinyl wrap. Though I think they are ugly AF
