Are these gaps within tolerance? Anyone one else have this on their door?

So Toyota replaced my door panel yesterday due to the shiny areas that were a defect from the factory mold. This panel is brand new but i noticed there is a small gap about 3mm between the panel and the door, just on the top part. It is perfectly flush all the way around it, is this normal? Sorry, its just my OCD kicking in, thanks again everyone. I know I'm a pain but i really do appreciate any input. Anyone got a pic they can throw in to this thread to let me see what your panel looks like?

maybe the clip is not 100% in, hit it with your hand and it might snap in, if not take it off and make sure all the clips align

i did pop it in as it was loose, and it still has a little gap. i think my original door panel that came from the factory had a little gap, wondering how everyone else compares. the rest of the door is perfectly flush....weird

Sorry my man I think it’s just you. Did you take the door panel off at all or just Toyota did? As stated above I think it's something minor like a pin/clip is not fully seated. I like the Tacoma all weather mats though haha

i think i'm gonna take it back to the dealer, the panel was installed yesterday. Sorry to be so OCD, but i just want the work to be done right? Is there a clip at the top of the door other than the 8 or so little white clips that hold the door in, like is there a separate one for the weather stripping area that holds that top part in ?

I’ve never taken off the door panel so I don’t know; taking the truck back to the dealer is your best bet. They should take pride in their work you are paying top dollar this isn’t some backyard mechanic. If they give you shit show them your thread.

The hooks in the top of the inner door panel were not properly installed into the door - the inner panel has to be slid downward to engage the top row of hooks. Pushing in on it will do nothing now - the panel has to be removed completely, and reinstalled.
