Are there two tans available for the 3'rd gen? Or am I colorblind?

Are there two different tans? Sometimes I see tacomas that look almost brown, did toyota make two different tans for the third gen? Are these just dirty, or am I going crazy? I'm close to the mexican border, did they have different color options down there?

Quicksand was the only one, but it's no longer available.

There’s quicksand color and beige. Beige is the one you think is darker.

There is no "other" Beige 3rd Gen, just Quicksand.

There was two flavors of beige (sandstorm and quicksand) for the FJ but not the 3rd Gen taco (quicksand).

Sometimes when I see them on the road they seem lighter or darker than mine.

Might be some sort of light filter setting on the camera that gives it the difference in color.

    Yep or cloud cover.

Pics of the same truck under different cloud conditions and shot with the same camera.
truck at home.jpg truck at work.jpg

Some mornings when I walk out and it almost looks cement or lunar rock under certain lighting conditions.

As others stated, dirty or various lighting conditions change the color slightly. Another factor is a ceramic type coating. The color appears noticeably lighter with a shiny coating.

Could be just dirty...seems after it rains my truck appears much lighter. I've never washed or detailed it. Truck was originally ceramic glass coated.

Depending on the lightning (and sometimes to photo editing) I've confused both Cement and Lunar Rock for tan
