Are the LED Fog lights any good?

I’m trading my 12 in on a 21 with the LED headlights. Are the OEM LED dogs anything to write home about? I have a set of Caliraised fogs on my 2012 and want to know if it is worth pulling them off.

They are better then my oem pro fogs . Will your old ones fit a 21 ?

 

Just a quick note as someone brought it up here. The LED Headlight option does not include LED fogs. They are still halogen unless you get a Pro.

 

I put the "black" LED fogs in my 20 SX, that didn't come stock with any fog lights.. I like the fogs a lot, but my only complaint is the color difference from my standard projector headlights to the LED fogs. If you're getting LED headlights, I would def try to get the LED fogs.

 

I just need to buy the different cover plate.

 

i feel like that is confusion with LED DRL headlights...
my 20 sport with LED headlights came with LED fogs, as did a buddy's 20 offroad with LED headlamps also

nothing wrong with em, I use Diode Dynamics SS3 sport on mine

that being said, the CaliRaised pods aren't fog lights, as there's no cutoff, and they'll blind any oncoming traffic. I would stick with the OEM or one with a proper fog pattern unless you don't care or only plan to use them offroad.

All the fog reviews are in this thread, including OEM LED fogs and demonstrations of why Calis pods are horrible for use as fogs. I certainly wouldn't bother to pull them, whatever comes on the new truck will be way better. Diode Dynamics SS3s are currently the best performing fogs, linked at the top of the thread, as are the OEM LED fogs.

I put on some LED bulbs on my fog lights and they were a hell of a lot brighter. They also had no cutoff so I was blinding everyone. Now I have the stock ones again.

 

Weird. I am surprised at the cutoff in my stock fogs. I do have LEDs in there with lamin-x yellow covers. They work amazing in fog, which is the only time that I used them.

That is incorrect, it does in fact come with led fogs . If you got the led headlight you got the led foglights

 

Me too, the LED headlamp + LED DRL + LED Fog lights are in one package for 2021, Dealer price is $485.
I like my LED fog lights, it is plenty bright.

 

Good stuff. I guess there was a change for the 2021s? There was a thread where someone was chapped about getting halogen fogs with the LED headlights.

That guys dealer screwed him and installed leds in his halogen housing . He said he didn’t notice because it was late and didn’t do a good walk around .
