Looking to see if it’s possible to add air springs/ bags by “Air Lift” with my dealer installed 2” lift kit. 21 Tacoma OR double cab currently sits with a 2” suspension lift in the front and a 1” block in the rear. Sag is driving me nuts even with an inverted 4" ball, the minute I add weight to the tongue and wanted to add @Airlift to the rear.
The concern is if the 1” lift on the rear will allow the Airlift to still raise the rear when I add a trailer.

Anyone no if it’s doable with the lift kit? If so please post. I was also planning on putting it with the “wireless one” from Air Lift

What's an "airlift"? Are you referring to air rear helper springs?

2" in front and 1" in back should be level or still slightly high in the back assuming the rear leafs are at the original shape and rate.

Typically, air helper springs mount to the frame/bump stop pads and interact with the top of the leaf pack so a block should not prevent them from working as intended, but they don't push the rear up, they prevent it from sagging excessively.

Standard air bags aren't for lifting the rear, but for leveling with load. Short answer is no, airlift wont lift the rear.

You can lift with airbags, but that’s not what they are designed for (on a truck), so it’s a shitty way to lift. If it is actually sag, (Ie springs are not as high as they used to be), then you’re far better off getting springs the height and load you need. If it’s simply not level then blocks are a decent option, but Tacoma does have weak springs so blocks aren’t always best option. As said above airbags are designed to give the springs some extra support under different load conditions.

Maybe I stated it wrong. I currently have a lift and tow a lot but get the sag. I wanted to see if the air lift would help even with the LIFT on it. As in is it still going to do its job since I have the lift. @mutely @Bishop84 @GrundleJuice

Airbag will be fine. Since the block went under the leaf pack the distance from bump stop to frame is still the same.

Yes airbags work pretty much with any rear tacoma lift unless it had the ubolt flip.

    Do it up!

Then yes. Bags will work with a lift, and they will add strength to the springs for when you tow / add weight to the bed. This is ideally what they are exceptional at, way better than spring loaded bump stops etc.

With a lift, you can also add cradles under the airbags if you want, and you are concerned about over extension of the airbags.

The daystar cradles I found to be too thick if the rear is nominal (not lifted).

(I have the dual wireless remote airlift compressor system. It has worked fine so far. I installed it on the side of the bed, under the fender (access cab)

I just logged on to ask about rear sag on the TRD lift kit. I finished the lift today and feel like the rear is sagging bad. I do have four rims in the bed but it still feels excessive for that load.

@Hkelters Yes I saw the lift on a TRD Sequoia as well and it sagged the minute weight was added. I think the airbags from "Air Lift" should help with the sag and drive. I'm installing this weekend incase anyone ever runs into this.
