I am going to take a look at a used RTT next week and the guy also has an ARB Touring 2500mm x 2500mm awning for sale as part of the package. It's 8'2" long and I have a double cab with a Prinsu cab rack. Can I even mount this awning on my rack? That just seems awfully long to have hanging on the side of the rack. Does anyone on here have one of these awnings?

    I have a 2000 x 2500 awning with addon annex.
And just got front and side windscreens.

The 2500 would be pretty long and awkward. The 2000 and the fully enclosed room works very well.

    We love it.
Just got the windscreens and put them on. I left them up last night, in the front yard.
The 'front' windscreen, when on, means the annex cannot be attached. The zipper strip, for the annex, requires the trough that the windscreen uses.
It looks like the side windscreen 'might' attach with annex installed. It uses hook & loop,
All parts are sturdy and look very well made.

Super cool. Is the annex the same as the room?

Yes. The one that zips to the awning.

Next rain I am going to set it up in the yard and sleep in the annex/room to check the worthiness in rain.
The dealer says they only say 'not for sleeping' in cuz it is not called a tent. Dang lawyers :)

If it's raining make sure to find a way to keep water from pooling. I use a telescoping pole from the hardware store. Mine has a blunt side where the handle is...it's what I use to keep a tented section on the awning.

I always just lower one corner of the awning so it runs off that side.

I've tried that but maybe I didn't do it enough. Plus if it's raining, I usually have the room attachment in place too.

Is it something like the Kelty brand pole for Kelty tarps? I have several.

I can see tilting being a problem if the annex is attached

I have those but don't use them for this purpose. Simple aluminum telescoping pole from Lowes. One end is threaded for brushes or squeegee. The other end is like a small disc which won't harm the tent fabric.

The tilt works fine with the room attached as well, it only needs to have one keg about 2-3” lower than the other to create enough angle for rain to run off.

Makes sense. I think I dropped both legs a few years ago during a several day storm. Water still pooled and I had to come up with a solution in the field which was a metal pan and a tarp pole.

Thanks, a few inches is probably enough.
I used a 2 inch dowel, with a small hole drilled in it, and a rounded end, to add to a tarp pole of an old setup I do not use anymore.
    I will look at lowes.

I live in a rain forest. Wouldn't you know it, I want to check the rainworthiness, and it doesn't rain.
